Introduction: Welcome to my homepage. My hobby is everything to do with mills, windmills and/or watermills. During my spare time I work with friends (Britzer Mueller Verein e.V.) in a windmill in Berlin: "Britzer Muehle". This windmill is in good working condition and is owned by "Grün-Berlin Park & Garten GmbH". During the weekends we show our visitors how the windmill works ( see opening hours and events ). To operate the mill we had to do a 2 years training and an examen which is similar to the windmill Diploma in Holland.

On the following pages you will find a lot of information about the "Britzer Muehle" and windmills in general. Our main effort is to interest people in preventing, restoring or running a Windmill. For this reason, we have a two years educational training for people who are keen on this subject. More details see:  Ausbildung. You also find useful addresses on various Windmill-Clubs, Institutions and Organisations in this file.

If you visiting Berlin, please come and see the Britzer Mühle; Buckower Damm 130, 12349 Berlin.  The nearby Britzer Garten (a beautiful park) also invites you for relaxation.

Touring arround in Germany, I have got a list with some of my favourite windmills and watermills.  Please do not hesitate to contact any of these peoples and give my best regards. To greet a miller at a mill in germany, you should say: "Glueck zu", which means "luck to you".   -  More Information about wind- and watermills you can find on the pages of TIMS (The International Molinological Society).
